Teams

The Teams feature can be enabled to associate a set number of participants together. The team captain pays for the entire team and invites the members to join. This is most commonly used for things like relay teams or adventure racing teams.

Teams Set up

First, set up the category (or categories), making sure the price accurately reflects the total cost for the entire team.

Next, set up the team(s) by navigating to Setup > Teams.

General Tab

Category : Creation of a new team will require the category to be selected.
Minimum Members : The minimum number of people in the team
Maximum Members : The maximum number of people in the team
Division Set : Divisions which the team captain can select from (explained later in this page)
Captain must register members : This option specifies whether the team captain is responsible for registering all the team members as sub-accounts of their account.
If set to no then any mix of members registering under their own account or captain entering sub-accounts is allowed.
If set to yes, but can add later then the captain must register all the members as sub-accounts, but does not have to add them all during the initial registration, the team will remain incomplete until enough members have been added. Finally if set to yes, must register all at once then the captain must register all team members as sub-accounts in order to submit the team registration.
Captain can withdraw members :If enabled this will allow the team captain to withdraw team members, even if the team member registered using their own account
Prompt for invitations :If enabled then team captains will be given the option to send invite emails to potential members as part of registering the team
Allow changes until :Allow changes to the team division (if allowed) and team name until this date

Legs Tab

Before legs can be assigned to the team they need to be setup under Setup > Team Legs.
Legs can be used for many categories.

Leg Label: Use this to replace the word 'Leg' with something else, eg. 'Stage', 'Section' or whatever best suits your event. If left blank then it will default to 'Leg'.
Minimum Legs per Member: Each team member must select at least this many legs, usually just one!
Maximum Legs per Member: No team member can select more than this number of legs. One leg per member is the most common setup, but you may want to allow the possibility of a member doing multiple legs.

Select each leg below along with the min and max number of members can select each leg.

Team Captain Registering:

The team captain registers selecting a team category.
Then select the division (if there are divisions) & the leg they are doing.

Optionally they can invite team members which will send an automatic invitation to the team members with a link to join the team.

Once their event registration is complete the team will be assigned a unique team code.

Team Member Registering:

The team member can either click on the link in the email - or just use the team code to join the team.
