Pricing Tiers
Price tiers allow you to control how pricing applies to the category and changes over time or as registrations increase.
How Pricing Tiers Work
- Starting Price
This is the initial price when registrations open.
- Price Tiers
You can set additional tiers to automatically adjust pricing after the starting price.
Pricing can change based on:
- Applies Date (e.g. early bird deadline)
- Applies After Reg # (e.g. first 200 entries)
- Or a combination of both
If both are set, whichever occurs first will apply.
Count Registrations For
This determines how registration numbers are counted when using “Applies After Reg #“:
- This category only
- Total registrations in a category count group
Category Count Groups
A category count group allows you to combine registration counts across multiple categories.
To set this up:
Create a count group in the Category Groups section
Edit each relevant category
Select “Total registrations in a category count group”
Choose the count group you created
This is useful when pricing tiers should apply across multiple categories (e.g. 5km and 10km sharing the same price increase threshold).
Limit Count Method
When using “Applies After Reg #“, you can define how registrations are counted:
- Count one for each registration
- Count one for each team captain
- Count the maximum potential members for each team
This gives flexibility depending on whether you’re managing individual or team-based events.
