Category Transfers

Transfers allows participants to transfer their registration to another participant.

Setup

Transfers are setup on the Category “Transfers” tab.

The transfer rules are setup for each category as required. It's fine to have transfers enabled for some categories and not others.

The option to transfer shows to the participant on the Summary page. If transfers are enabled the participant will be able to commence the transfer process, otherwise will be presented with a message to contact the organiser.

1. Click on the + icon.

2. Setup the transfer rules.

Applies from date: The date from which transfers are allowed to be initiated
Applies until date:
Price: The price which the replacement participant needs to pay to the event organisation for accepting the transfer. This fee is optional, some events choose to allow this without a transfer fee. Others will charge from $20 upwards.
Days to accept: How many dates the replacement participant has to accept the transfer.
Allow partial discounted transfers: Check this if you wish to allow registrations which are partially discounted to be transferred.
Allow fully discounted transfers: Check this if you wish to allow registrations which are fully discounted to be transferred.

The payment for the entry fee is arranged between the existing and replacement participant. This can be at whatever price they agree.

Participant Experience

If transfers are enabled the participant can initiate the transfer on the Summary page.

1. Initiate the transfer.

2. If transfers are enabled the participant will see the following screen to enter the replacement person's email. If transfers are not enabled they will see a message to contact the organiser.

3. The replacement person will receive an email advising them that a transfer has been initiated of which they can accept or decline.
- If they accept they will be requested to click on a link to enter then event as usual, altho only the admin fee will be payable. If there is no admin fee then no payment is required.
- If they decline the transfer an email will be sent to the initiator advising such.

Event Team Visibility of in-progress transfers

The event team have visibility of all transfers via the dashboard - Registrations > Transfers
